15 Sep Class focus for Sept. 15th – Sept. 28th, 2010: BE HERE NOW
One of my students recommended a great book, “Be Here Now” by Baba Ram Dass, which inspired this class focus. Sometimes we get so busy, so efficient, so caught up in worrying about the past and the future that we lose our ability to pay attention! For the next two weeks, we will be focusing our minds on the Here and Now. I will be asking you throughout class, “Where are you?” Answer: “Here.” “What time is it?” Answer: “Now.” Of course, we’ll be having fun in the process. I’ll be giving homework, too–some behavior modification to re-train our brains to live in the now! After this week, let me know how the homework went!
See you on the mat,
Kelli
