23 Jul START OFF YOUR DAY THE RIGHT WAY: Elevate your mental state Monday
Do you feel alert and ready to conquer the world?
Are you sluggish and melancholy?
Start off your day with a brief check-in. Set your alarm clock 5 min earlier. When the alarm goes off, give yourself five minutes to scan your body and mind to see what’s going on.
If you feel great, then maybe you can simply enjoy some thoughts of gratitude.
If not, you can think of something nice to do for someone you care about or a co-worker.
Call your mom on the way to work to say you love her, or stop by Starbucks and buy yourself a scone with an extra one for someone at work.
If you’re feeling tired or blue, then think of something that you can do that has proven to pick you up in the past.
Turn on some reggae on the way to work.
Give yourself permission to take a little power nap later.
Call that friend that always cheers you up and makes you feel good about yourself.
Park a little farther today and invigorate yourself with a brisk walk on the way to work– connecting with nature often has a way of reminding you that everything is good.
The point is: you can take charge of your day!
