Feeling down?
The best way to give yourself a boost is to focus on what you already have.
Gratitude Meditation
Begin seated, with the backs of your hands resting on your knees. Create space in the middle of your spine, and bring your chin parallel to the floor. Begin breathing deeply, filling lower lungs with air and exhaling fully. Once your mind is calm, on your next inhale, think of one thing that you are grateful for. At the top of your breath, pause and hold the associated feelings of happiness and gratitude in your heart and mind. On the exhale, imagine sharing this positive feeling with someone else–a friend, loved one, coworker or even a group of people. Try this three times with a different thing that you are grateful for each time.
